Globaltherm® EG is a water based refrigerant anti-freeze and contains between 90 and 100% ethylene glycol (EG). Globaltherm® EG is used extensively in industry due to its functionality and versatility in a wide range of applications including polyester textiles, consumer packaging and beverage bottles to aircraft de-icing fluids.

Globaltherm® EG - Pumpable at Low Temperatures
Globaltherm® EG is an efficient heat transfer fluid between -28° to 120°C  (-18°F - 240°F).

  • Globaltherm® EG provides freeze/burst protection to between -51°C (-60°F) and -60° C (-76°F) depending on concentration
  • Globaltherm® EG is not recommended for use with food (either directly or indirectly)
  • Globaltherm® EG should be used as an antifreeze in processes (e.g. cooling, refrigeration and air conditioning) where direct contact with humans is limited or restrictive. Globaltherm® PG is generally regarded as being safe in contact with humans. 

  • Globaltherm® EG contains between 90 and 100% Ethylene Glycol (EG)

  • Globaltherm® EG has a lower viscosity than Globaltherm® PG and is easier to pump at low temperatures

  • Globaltherm® EG is non-corrosive and non-destructive to your system’s pipes and components

Globaltherm® PG is a water based refrigerant anti-freeze and contains between 10 and 100% Propylene Glycol (PG). Globaltherm® PG is used in a wide range of manufacturing applications.

Globaltherm® PG is generally recognised as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for use as a direct and indirect food additive under the conditions prescribed by the US FDA.

  • Globaltherm® PG is a Propylene Glycol based product

  • Globaltherm® PG is an efficient heat transfer fluid between -18° to 135°C
(0°F to 275°F)

  • Globaltherm® PG is used as an anti-freeze

  • Globaltherm® PG provides effective freeze/burst protection to between
 -51°C (-60°F) and -60°C (-76°F) depending on concentration

  • Globaltherm® PG is generally regarded as being safe due to its low toxicity

Omnisol can safely withstand temperatures up to 425°C (797°F).

Globaltherm® Omnisol delivers the high thermal stability and reliable heat transfer of a polydimethylsiloxane mixture with a low pumpability point of -65°C (-85°F). Globaltherm® Omnisol is a high performing low toxicity, low fire risk, heat transfer fluid for CSP applications operating up to 425°C (797°F).

  • Globaltherm® J Heat transfer fluid is a heat transfer agent suitable for applications requiring single fluid heating and cooling.
  • Globaltherm® J Heat transfer fluid is recommended for use in a temperature range from <-80°C (-112°F) up to a maximum bulk temperature of 315°C (600°F) in the liquid phase. 
  • Globaltherm® J Heat transfer fluid can also be used in vapour phase systems operating from 181°C to 315°C (358°F - 600°F).
